The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) has released the Provisional Name-wise Merit List (PML) for NEET UG 2024 candidates belonging to the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. This announcement follows the re-revised results declared by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The merit list is now available for download on the official JKBOPEE website, jkbopee.gov.in.
This list determines the eligibility and ranking of candidates for the upcoming counseling sessions, which will allocate medical seats in various colleges across J&K and Ladakh.
Eligible candidates were given a window from 19th August to 23rd August 2024 to register online, upload their documents, and update their category status. The board then scrutinized these submissions, leading to the creation of the current PML.

Key Points from the Merit List Notification
- Provisional Approval:
- Some candidates’ application forms were found deficient due to missing documents like Domicile Certificates, 12th Class Marks Cards, and others. These candidates are provisionally approved to participate in the counseling process but must submit the missing documents at the time of admission, or their selection may be canceled.
- Gender Corrections:
- Candidates are advised to check their gender (Male/Female) as listed in the PML. Any discrepancies must be reported to the JKBOPEE office in Jammu or Srinagar by 27th August 2024, 3:00 PM.
- Sports Category:
- The sports category list has been prepared based on the submissions received from the J&K Sports Council. However, being listed under the sports category does not guarantee a seat. The final merit for sports candidates will be determined by combining 60% of their NEET score with 40% of their sports merit as per government guidelines.
- CDP and Reserved Category Certificates:
- Candidates with old CDP certificates or deficient reserved category certificates have been provisionally included in the PML. They must submit valid, updated certificates by 27th August 2024, 3:00 PM, failing which they will be considered under the Open Merit category.
- EWS and PwD Certificates:
- Candidates with EWS certificates in the central format must submit the correct format as per SRO 518 of 2019. PwD candidates are provisionally listed, but their certificates will be verified by the respective college authorities during admission.
- Representation and Objections:
- Candidates who wish to make representations regarding their ranking in the PML can do so until 27th August 2024, 3:00 PM. After this deadline, the PML will be considered final.

- Visit the official JKBOPEE website: jkbopee.gov.in.
- Navigate to the ‘Latest Notifications’ section.

- The merit list PDF will open; you can view, download, or print it for future reference.
