UP NHM CHO Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
Candidates must have completed:
- B.Sc. (Nursing) with integrated Certificate in Community Health for Nurses (CCHN), or
- Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) with CCHN from a recognized Indian Nursing Council or State Nursing Council institution (from 2020 onwards).
Candidates must also be registered with the UP Nurses & Midwives Council. Those registered with other state councils must transfer their registration to UP within 90 days of joining.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 40 years (as of the last date of application)
- Age Relaxation: OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), SC, ST, and PwD candidates are eligible for age relaxation as per state government rules.
Reservation
Only candidates domiciled in Uttar Pradesh are eligible for reservation benefits. Others will be treated as unreserved.

UP NHM CHO Application Process 2024
- Registration: Begin by registering on the official UP NHM portal (www.upnrhm.gov.in).

- Filling the Form: Complete the online form, providing personal details, educational qualifications, and district preferences.
- Upload Documents: Attach necessary documents including educational certificates, identification proof, and any relevant reservation certificates.

Note: There is no application fee for this recruitment.
Selection Process
The selection process involves two stages:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT):
- The exam comprises 100 questions (80 marks for Professional Knowledge and 20 marks for General Aptitude, Reasoning, General Awareness, and Basic Computer knowledge).
- The minimum qualifying marks vary by category (UR/EWS: 33%, OBC: 30%, SC/ST/PwD: 24%).
- Document Verification Process (DVP):
- Shortlisted candidates will undergo a document verification phase.
- Candidates must bring original copies of all documents uploaded during the application process.
Salary and Incentives
- Honorarium: ₹25,000 per month.
- Performance-Based Incentive: Up to ₹10,000 per month.
- Bond Requirement: Selected candidates must submit a surety bond of ₹2.5 lakh to serve a minimum of three years.
Additional Marks for COVID-19 Experience
Candidates with experience in COVID-19 management (six months to 1.5 years) in Uttar Pradesh’s public health facilities may be eligible for additional marks based on their duration of service.
